I am included in Unitas' overall IT security team as an IT security consultant. Here I spend most of my time keeping up with the latest threats, assessing them and helping our customers put up a strong defense.
Through vulnerability scans and penetration tests using many different techniques, I am able to find most holes in the cheese. And my experience in the field enables me to advise very directly on exactly what can be done to limit a given vulnerability and thus risk.
Together with my colleagues, I form one of the cornerstones of Unitas' CISO service. Here I contribute important knowledge about threats and vulnerabilities to the CISOs, who can then organize security measures even better and concretely in relation to recent trends.
In addition, I carry out CIS Control's analyses, which also help to ensure a structured planning of future security measures. In this way, I help our customers to ensure as much security as possible for the financial leeway available to the individual customer.
I participate in networks with other security specialists, as well as being a trained ethical hacker.
Many years of operating software from several different suppliers with a special eye for the safety of the products gives me both broad and deep experience. IBM and Microsoft software in particular have filled a lot in the past many years.
My experience as an 'old man' in the team plays perfectly together with the younger colleagues' other and more narrow, but deep, areas of competence.
I have extensive experience with security around networks, web services, Windows and Linux OS, AD etc
