Microsoft 365 phishing test is a security practice that involves simulating phishing attacks against users of the Microsoft 365 platform – here Outlook. The purpose of the test is to educate and make users aware of the potential risks of phishing and to strengthen their ability to recognize and avoid such attacks.
During the test, simulated phishing emails are sent to the users trying to mimic real phishing attempts. These simulated attacks may contain suspicious links, attachments or requests for sensitive information. When users interact with these phishing attempts, they are redirected to training pages* or receive informative messages about how they could have avoided the pitfall.
Microsoft 365 phishing tests are an effective way to evaluate users' attention, response and ability to identify phishing attempts. By performing these tests, organizations can build a proactive approach to security and improve their overall protection against phishing attacks.
